New Karate Video

Well, the boys have been in karate for about two months and have improved a lot. Jack still likes to play around, but he is improving slowly. John takes it pretty seriously and has earned a stripe on his belt that says focus. He was proud to show it off. Hopefully, he will be able to participate in the next belt review. Here is a video from tonights class.

Jack's 3rd Birthday

Yesterday was Jack's 3rd Birthday and I can't believe it has been three years already.  We started the day with church then after lunch I took the boys to a trail on post on the mountains.  They really like going up there and running up and down the trail.  Because the weather is so nice here most of the time, we are able to enjoy a lot of what Arizona has to offer.  We can't wait to do more this spring.  There are several mountains close by with hiking trails and caves.
After naps Jack got his new Car's bike!  Thanks Granddaddy!  He really liked it, but needs a lot of practicing with peddling.  The boys spent the rest of the day with Jack's other new toys, a soccer net, golf set, Elefun game and Spider man punching toy. Thanks Nanny!
We finished up the evening with chocolate cupcakes and ice cream.  Yummy!

More snow fun!

So, the boys are pretty crazy and this video will show just how crazy!

Snow in Arizona

It has really been a long time and so many changes have happened within our family! I will get to that in another post, but I wanted to put out this video because I couldn't figure out how to post it any other way.
We had almost 2 inches of snow yesterday and John and Jack were really excited to go play in it. Here is a video of them being the crazy boys that they are!

Disney World

On Thursday, the boys and I left super early to head to Disney. We followed my friend, Theresa, her brother, sister-in-law, and two kids all the way to Florida. It was only a six hour trip so we were able to go to the Magic Kingdom for half of the day. I was very greatful that Theresa's brother, Pete and sister-in-law, Jenny were there to help out with the kids. We were able to ride a few rides and the kids had a blast. On Friday morning, we hung out by the hotel pool, the after nap time went to the Animal Kingdom for the safari. We were able to see the animals pretty close up, so it was fun. We then headed back to the Magic Kingdom and waited for Jeff and Theresa's husband to meet us. We were pretty happy to see them after two days by ourselves with the kids. Saturday morning we headed to the Disney Hollywood studios. The kids were excited to see all the characters from the cartoons that they like. Although, when they actually got up close, they were pretty scared. The characters are a lot bigger in person then on TV. We woke up Sunday morning to rain, so we took it slow getting ready hoping it would stop by the time we got to the Animal Kingdom. It finally stopped around 1 and we had a really good time on the safari and seeing all the animals. Overall, it was a really good trip and the kids had a lot of fun. Hopefully, we will try again in a few more years when they will actually be able to remember. John and Grace

The lolli pops weren't a very good idea.

Zoo

Sorry it's been so long since the last post. We really haven't been doing much. The weather has been so nice lately that we have been hanging out outside and going to the park. A few weeks ago, we went to a little zoo in this really small town. It is just a family run place, but is super cute and has a lot of tigers and lions. They even have a liger. Which is a cross between a tiger and lion. It looks like a lion with stripes. We invited some a friend of ours that has a son a daughter that are in the same class as John and Jack at school. John is very smitten with Grace and they are very cute together. Stay tuned-We are headed to Disney this weekend with the same family, so there are definately going to be a lot of pictures soon. We can't wait!!

Trip to ATL

So, we decided since Jeff had a four day weekend, that we would take a trip to Atlanta. Hey, it's only four hours away. So we heard that the Children's Museum was fun and that the Aquarium was fun also. On Saturday, we decided to head to the Children's Museum. It wasn't as great as we had hoped and was kind of like a big play area with no real organization. The boys seemed to like it, but were busy jumping around from one thing to the next. As always, it was hard to get a picture because they didn't stay still enough. After a really good nap we hit one of the malls, but were not very impressed. Jack and John were because they got a cookie. On Sunday, we got up early and headed to the Aquarium. It's the largest in the world. We had a good time and the boys really liked seeing all of the fish. The first set of pictures are from the Aquarium and then the museum. We then decided to just drive home after the aquarium so that we could get a good nights sleep. The first night, Jack and John slept together and Jack fell off the bed twice so then he got in bed with mommy. He did not give me a whole lot of room, so I didn't sleep well.
Overall, it was a pretty good trip.

Too much excitement to sit still
